Remember to take it one day at a time...

  1. hi, I just started following your blog. I lost my mom when I was 11 and now I am 36.I have two of my kids and my dad remained single and raised me and inspired to go to medical schools and finally practice in the U.S.I never really understood myself exactly why was I so clumsy about cooking or entertaining or so many other things that others take for granted? Because I never remember seeing my mum do those things.. I was so young and I did not grow up with family traditions and cooking and joy.. there was a unspoken grief and we did not talk about my mom.
Even today, I dont speak much about her...

A friend recently told me about the book and I just started reading it at the book store... omg, so many explanations I got...
I am afraid to buy the book because I dont want to be depressed. I want to understand myself and move on and feel happy and celebrate my mom in a happy way, not agonize about her life and the way things should have been.
I will be following your blog,
    thanks for doing this.

  2. Hi Padma,
Thank you for your note! I think the book is fantastic but also believe that you have to be ready to read it. It took me many years to actually buy the book and read it. Take your time, you will know when the time is right.
    Big hugs to you.
    xx

  3. Hi, your dream will one day come true, that is a wonderful humanitarian project and I pray that when that day comes you will get enough facilitation to begin. Motherless daughters need sensitive care as they grow up and the society has to offer good mentor ship for them.
